Getting started

First launch

#

From inviting the bot to your first working module.

Step by step

  1. Log in with your Discord account. Open Dashboard and choose a server. Managing a server requires the appropriate Discord permissions.

  2. If the bot has not joined the server, choose Add bot and approve the Discord invitation.

  3. Open a module using the sidebar or module search. On a phone, use the Menu button.

  4. Enable the module using its switch. The switch saves immediately; form settings are saved separately.

  5. Choose channels and roles, fill in the form and click Save all changes. You can also use Ctrl+S or Cmd+S.

  6. If the module publishes a message, click its publish button after saving. Saving configuration alone does not send a message.

Getting started

Dashboard, saving and navigation

#

Edit several modules without losing changes.

Where to find it
Dashboard → selected server →

Step by step

  1. Modules are sorted alphabetically within each category. Search in the sidebar filters their names.

  2. A dot next to a module indicates unsaved settings. The save bar counts these modules even after you switch tabs.

  3. Save all changes saves every edited module. Discarding changes restores the last saved settings.

  4. Dependent fields appear immediately when you change a mode. Save before refreshing the page.

  5. Sending and publishing buttons require saved settings. Overview includes a dashboard change log.

  6. On a phone, open Menu and select a module; the menu then closes. Wide tables scroll horizontally within their own area.

Getting started

PexoBot Free and PexoBot+

#

Recognise paid features and activate a plan.

Step by step

  1. A solid PexoBot+ badge marks a module requiring the paid plan. An outlined + marks a free module with extra features or higher limits on PexoBot+.

  2. Open PexoBot+ from the menu and choose a plan or redeem a code you received.

  3. Once your account has a plan, open the server dashboard and activate PexoBot+ in the plan section. Your account has a set number of server slots.

  4. Limits are shown beside module settings. Free modules provide their basic functionality without a purchase.

  5. An addon is a separate purchase for a specific server and does not grant PexoBot+.

The bot combines signals (join waves, cross-channel spam, mentions, links) and never punishes for account age alone. 6. Chat lets you choose a server/channel or direct conversation. Channel and server lists scroll within their own areas.

Getting started

Common problems

#

What to check when a module does not work.

Step by step

  1. Start with Diagnostics (server panel → Diagnostics). It shows missing bot permissions, deleted channels and roles, roles above the bot's role and missing commands, with a link to the settings. “Why can't the bot…?” checks a chosen role, channel or person and changes nothing on the server.

  2. A channel or role is missing: check the bot’s access, channel type and role position. Refresh the dashboard after changing Discord settings.

  3. Cannot publish: enable the module, choose a channel, save and check Send Messages and Embed Links permissions.

  4. A command is missing: check both module and command switches; wait a few seconds after saving. Its name may conflict with another command.

  5. No history or cases: these views populate after the bot performs relevant actions. An empty view does not mean configuration was lost.

  6. The bot cannot see messages: the instance administrator should check Message Content Intent in Discord Developer Portal.

  7. AI refuses or returns an error: check the key, model, provider quota, ignored channels and daily limit. The tester shows details.

  8. Saving failed: keep the page open. Changes stay in the form; read the message, correct the data and save again.

Safety and support

Forms

#

Applications, reports and punishment appeals — through a Discord button or the web page.

+Basic features are free. PexoBot+ adds features or raises limits.

Where to find it
Dashboard → selected server → Forms
Bot permissions
Access to the channels in use; Send Messages and Embed Links if the module publishes messages.

Step by step

  1. Add a form, pick its type (application, appeal, report) and write up to 5 questions.

  2. Set the channel with the button and a private staff channel, save and click “Post to channel”.

  3. Accept or deny with the buttons in the staff channel or in the Submissions tab of the dashboard — private notes live there too.

  4. An accepted appeal lifts the chosen punishment (ban, timeout, warning); an accepted application can give a role.
