Music module terms
Last updated: 13 October 2026
These terms apply to the PexoBot music module. By enabling the module on a server, the person managing that server accepts them on behalf of the server. They supplement the PexoBot Terms of Service.
1. What the music module does
The music module lets members of a Discord server play audio in voice channels — by searching for a track, pasting a link from a supported service or uploading their own audio file. PexoBot is only a technical tool that plays what people on the server ask it to play.
- PexoBot does not host, sell, license or recommend music and does not choose what is played.
- Tracks come from third-party sources or from files uploaded by users. Pandor Systems does not own them and has no control over them.
- Playback happens only in voice channels of the server where the module is enabled.
2. Who is responsible
The music module is switched off by default. It is enabled and configured by the owner or administrators of a server (“the server administrator”). By enabling it, the server administrator takes full responsibility for how it is used on their server, in particular for:
- the decision to enable the module and for who is allowed to use it (roles, channels, limits),
- everything played on the server, whoever requested it,
- obtaining any licences or permissions the law requires for playing content to their audience — for example for public, commercial or ticketed events, streams or recordings,
- responding to complaints from rightsholders or members regarding content played on the server.
Pandor Systems is not the party that plays or publishes content on the server and is not responsible for it.
3. Rules for people using the module
- Play only content you have the right to listen to and share in the given voice channel.
- Don’t play content that is illegal, infringes someone’s rights, is hateful, violent, sexual involving minors or otherwise breaks Discord’s Terms and Community Guidelines.
- Upload only files you own or have permission to use. Don’t upload malware or files disguised as audio.
- Respect the terms of the services the tracks come from (e.g. Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud).
4. Prohibited uses
The music module must not be used to:
- rebroadcast music to large audiences for profit or as part of a paid service without the required licences,
- record, download, copy or redistribute played content,
- bypass technical protections, paywalls or regional restrictions of music services,
- run a radio station or other continuous public broadcast without the rightsholders’ permission,
- overload the bot on purpose or abuse it to disturb others.
5. Uploaded files
Audio files uploaded for playback are processed only to play them on the server and are kept only as long as the module needs them, as described in the Privacy Policy. The person uploading a file confirms they have the right to use it. We may delete any file at any time without notice.
6. Limits and availability
Playback time, queue length, volume and available sources may depend on the plan (Free or PexoBot+) and may change. Third-party sources can stop working at any time for reasons beyond our control. We don’t guarantee that a given track, service or feature will be available.
7. Limitation of liability
The music module is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pandor Systems is not liable for content played on servers, for infringements committed by server administrators or users, for the availability or quality of third-party sources, or for any loss resulting from use of the module.
8. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, the server administrator who enabled the module agrees to take responsibility for, and to hold Pandor Systems harmless from, claims by third parties (including rightsholders) arising from content played on their server or from a breach of these terms on their server.
9. Rightsholder complaints
If you believe the music module is being used to infringe your rights, contact us through our Discord server (pandor.pl/discord) and include: the server where it happens, the content concerned and proof that you hold the rights. We will act promptly — we may disable the module on that server, block a source or remove files. We may share the server administrator’s Discord details with the rightsholder where the law requires it.
10. Our rights
We may at any time, without notice, limit or disable the music module on a particular server or for everyone, remove sources or features, or block a user — especially after a complaint or a breach of these terms. Repeated breaches can lead to a PexoBot global ban.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date of the last change is shown at the top of the page. Continuing to use the music module after a change means accepting the new version. In matters not covered here, the PexoBot Terms of Service and Privacy Policy apply.
